Racing Club UK – London filial football weekly news

Transfer window

  • Racing completed the 4th signing of the season. The Uruguayan U20 international right back, José Luis Rodríguez Bebanz, has joined from Danubio (Uruguay) on a 18 months loan. It was a transfer that also saw Rodrigo Amaral departing to Nacional de Montenvideo on a permanent basis to free one of the 6 squad slots for foreign players.
  • Neri Cardozo is likely to follow the steps of title winners Pol Fernández, Ricardo Centurión, Renzo Saravia and Andrés Ríos. The 32 year-old centre midfielder could be terminating his contract with the club after joining from Rayados de Monterrey 18 months ago. Currently facing a lot of competition for a space in Coudet’s first XI, Defensa y Justicia sounds like a possible destination for the former Boca player. (via lacomuderacing.com)

Squad updates

  • 2018-19 Superliga champion and academy product Julián López suffered an ACL injury in training and will be out for 6 to 8 months. We wish Julian the best on his recovery and we look forward seeing him back on the pitch soon.
  • This week Matías Zaracho (heel), Alejandro Donatti (hamstring) and Eugenio Mena (went under a heel surgery in early June) continued with their physio and specific training sessions.
