The reigning league and playoff Champions Leicester Riders announced a new signing today to bolster their squad heading into the new season.
J.R. Holder is a 6’7″, 23-year-old forward from Atlanta, Georgia who averaged 17.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists per game last season for the Jacksonville Dolphins, and has had a productive summer including being invited to the G-League National tryouts and playing basketball with NBA and European players.

On joining the Riders Holder said, “I believe that joining the Leicester Riders is a great opportunity for me to not only show my skill set but to test my skills against people from different parts of the world.” Holder continued, “I am ready for pre-season to start so I can meet the team and so everyone can not only learn everyone’s strengths and weaknesses, but so we can grow as a team.”
The Riders kick off their preseason to a USA Selection at home, 7.30 on September 2nd at Leicester Arena.
